Before you start looking for a bartender for your next private party, consider the options of your experience. I’ve included some tips that can help you through the process. Bartender Chicago is here to help you book your bartender please refer below to help guide you through your party needs
Step One: Choose a date for your party
When you need to hire a Chicago bartender, it’s important to plan ahead.
There are two times that you may need a bartender: weekends or weekdays. If you’re planning a weekend event, you should start looking for a bartender at least a couple weeks ahead of time. On the other hand, if you need a bartender during the week, it’s easier to find someone on short notice (~ 1-2 weeks notice).
Step Two: Account for adequate time
When planning your party, you’ll likely have a clear idea of the general start and end time. However, when hiring a bartender, you’ll want to consider set up and clean up time. Typically a bartender will need to show up 30 minutes before and clean up 30 minutes after unless there are a lot of items to be prepared (fruit wedges, garnishes, etc.) — in which case 60 minutes should be plenty of time.
Step Three: Decide how many bartenders you need
One of the first questions we ask when planning an event is “how many bartenders do we need?” Here’s a general guideline to help you determine how many bar staff to hire:
- If you are serving mixed drinks, beer and wine you will need 1 bartender per 50 guests.
- If you are serving beer and wine only you will need 1 bartender per 100 guests.
Step Four: Consider the materials you’ll need
From glassware to mixers to ice and everything in between, you’ll want to be sure that you have a list of materials in mind when planning your private party. You can choose to provide these items for your bartender or request that your bartender come with all materials stocked and ready to go.
